- Profile now lives in one consistent place: sidebar on Mac/iPad, first card in “More” on iPhone
- Covers account details, security (sessions, sign-in history), preferences and connected services
- Worth checking your active sessions after signing in from a new device
Your profile is now in the same place no matter which device you use: on Mac or iPad it opens from your name at the bottom of the sidebar, and on iPhone it’s the first card inside the “More” tab. That consistency matters because it means the directions below work the same way whichever screen you’re on.
How to open it
- On Mac or iPad, select your name at the bottom of the sidebar.
- On iPhone, open the “More” tab — your profile is the first card you see.
- From there, review account details, security (active sessions, sign-in history, password), preferences, and any connected documents or services.
What you need to do
Take a moment to review your security settings — active sessions and recent sign-ins — the next time you’re in your profile, especially after signing in from a new device. If you’ve recently changed devices or password managers, it’s a good moment to double check that list and sign out of anything you don’t recognise.
What else lives here
Preferences like language and notification settings live in the same Profile area, so it’s worth a quick look through the sub-pages there at least once. If English isn’t your preferred language, switching it in Profile updates Learn, the FAQ and other translated areas together.
If you manage CFIN mostly from your phone, it’s still worth occasionally checking your profile on a larger screen, since a couple of the more detailed settings pages are easier to review on a bigger layout. If you ever disconnect a linked service by mistake, reconnecting it from the same Profile sub-page restores the connection without needing to contact Support.
One more thing
If a setting you expect to see is missing after this move, contact Support and we can point you to its new location directly.
