What changed
  • Internal admin figures now say plainly when a number can't be confirmed
  • Our team can post, schedule and withdraw a dashboard banner notice directly
  • Every administrative action is recorded in an internal audit trail

As part of the broader redesign, figures shown to our own administrators — on their internal account-management tools — now explicitly say when a number can't be confirmed, rather than guessing or quietly showing a stale value. Our team can also post, schedule and withdraw a customer-facing banner notice directly, which is how a short notice sometimes appears near the top of your dashboard.

Why

A system that hides uncertainty behind a confident-looking number is worse than one that says plainly "we can't confirm this yet". The same honesty built into your dashboard now applies to the tools our team relies on.

What you need to do

Nothing specific — this is mostly invisible to you, aside from occasionally seeing a notice banner that our team can now manage more directly and reliably.

In detail

Extending the same principle

Applying the same "never guess, never show a stale number" principle to our own internal tools as we apply to your dashboard was deliberate, not incidental.

We'll keep extending it to any other internal tool that touches a customer account, on the view that honest, well-labelled information should be the default everywhere, not a special case for customer-facing pages.
